Dad's first effort at working the horses when he was 14 years old were scorned upon by their horseman at the time. Dad was told to go and harrow the 10 acre field. He was quite pleased with himself as he had finished by dinnertime. As he came into the yard the old horseman eyed him suspiciously and commented he had done early. Dad thought it was a job well done until the horseman growled at him, YOU HAVE DONE IT TWICE, HAVEN'T YOU? Dad said his heart sank at the thought of not having done the job properly, so off he went and did it properly this time.
